We love historical markers...and this site is one of them. Please visit Quixote Foundation's new website for current information.

U.S. reproductive rights are basic human rights for all people in this country.

Quixote Foundation funding will take the form of unsolicited “thank you” grants for organizations and leaders who support lifelong access to compassionate reproductive health care that respects autonomy, safeguards physical and mental well-being, and supports informed decisions.  We sent our first “thank you notes” in 2012, a second set in 2013 and a third set earlier this year.

Our goals:

  • People have freedom, power and access to make their own reproductive decisions without discrimination
  • People consider world populations when making those decisions

Core approaches and concerns:

  • Reach a new generation with a framework and messages more compelling than Roe v. Wade
  • Create a larger discussion and policy context involving thoughtful reproductive decisions overall
  • Explore the intertwined issues of reproductive planning and environmental/climate protection

How we pursue our work:

  • Support development of new legal and communication strategies
  • Support policies that represent a structure for independent, private decision-making
